A Spa Cloth that uses Zauberball Crazy Cotton

A Spa Cloth that uses Zauberball Crazy Cotton

Here's Zauberball Crazy Cotton, a part of the Zauberball family of artsy, fun yarn that's produced by Schoppel in Germany.

Crazy Cotton comes in 100 gram balls. Crazy Cotton is a DK weight and has 230 yards per ball with a suggested needle size of US #2-6 and gauge of 6 stitches per inch.

I started a spa cloth (think the classic dishcloth pattern) using a 24" Addi Rocket Squared US #8 needle with this yarn. I like the feel of the longer needle tip for the diagonal spa cloth. I can feed the stitches up onto the needle and knit fast.

Schoppel used 100% long staple Greek cotton for this yarn and it has a premium, lush feel as the yarn flows through my hands.

The color shown is 2368 Masquerade. Notice that each ball is wound to show a different gradient of the colors. Every ball is unique. Not all colors shown will be found in all balls.

What's a Spa Cloth? Knitters and crocheters have been making small pieces of fabric and using them for dish cloths for years. Fast forward and let's call those wonderful little gems spa cloths. Make one up, wrap it around a bar of home made soap from the Farmer's Market, tie it up with satin or organdy ribbon. Presto! A great spa gift for a friend.
